LDAP is well known for its name Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and it works like a software protocol where users can manage data to make it easily searchable. LDAP Server is basically used in large organizations to store and manage data from directory services and it is one of the most critical parts of the active directory. This directory is widely used for controlling authentication. It can store all information about users data, organization, or devices that is stored into the directories. Basically, it depends upon the client-server interaction where the client starts the session with the server which is called binding.
