LDAP is known as the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. It’s a client-side server protocol, which we use to access the central data information. The LDAP security system is basically based on an active directory. It is used in a large organisation for the protection of private data. Big organizations have more staff due to which there is always the fear of data being misused. With the help of LDAP security users can keep their private data secure because it allows the same user to access the data whose identity will be verified through email-id, password, username, SMS, and OTP. This is an active directory based security system which stores all sensitive and informational data in the main directory.
